New Frontiers Leadership Conference.
The New Frontiers International (NFI) Churches hold their national 'Leadership' Conference in Brighton every year in July. This year Production:av were asked to supply the av equipment for the event by Cutting Edge Productions based in Alton, Hampshire.
Large Screen Image Magnification.
The key provision was based on two 10,000 Lumen projectors in a double stack configuration to give both hot fail over and increased image brightness on the 16'x12' screen. The projection was carried out from behind the set, giving a clean look to the truss and staging out front. The side screens were smaller scale 8'x6' screens, each with 6500 lumen projectors to provide the required high level of brightness. Onstage monitoring was covered by various CRT and Plasma monitors. The image feed was taken from Cutting Edge's OB truck which mixed the words, VT and camera images.
Other rooms within the venue required other AV equipment, with Production:av supplying various Plasmas for the bookshop and break out rooms with various Playback options.
Production:av achieved the objective of improving on previous years shows, by both giving the 'Best Image We've ever had' (NFI's technical manager for the event), and achieving the projection from a shorter throw than in previous years.
