Production AV is currently looking to add to the team due to growth.

The last few years have seen a steady growth in our workload, and now we need some outstanding people to help us move to the continue this growth. People passionate about the events industry and especially the video side, keen to learn and improve and use that to ensure are clients receive better. Better service, better solutions and a better experience.

We’re looking for people that are prepared to work hard, but then are also happy to have a good time with the rest of the team when the opportunity arises.

This role is a key role – your desire to learn about new equipment and techniques will mean that you’re looking for ways to enhance our clients experience and the service we offer through practical use of the equipment we operate.

It will be a varied role, and we’re willing to train the right person, so the right attitude and an ability to learn are key. You might have spent several years freelancing and are looking for a more permanent job, or not long out of college or University and looking to gain experience.  You must be happy working in a team, or on your own, and will be expected to be happy working liaising all levels on an event site or in the warehouse – from dealing with local crew to the CEO of a major company, polite and courteous when appropriate,  firm and fair when needed.

As part of the Production AV team you’ll get the opportunity to work on  range of events from live music to corporate and everything in between, in some of the UK’s most prestigious venues, and the occasional muddy field. We have cutting edge equipment from the likes of disguise and Barco, and we’ll expect you to learn to get the best from the hardware. We’ll also be looking for you to constantly have your eyes open to how we can improve: whether it’s through new techniques, new equipment, or new people, you’ll play a key role in helping us grow.

Our work is predominantly video work, so experience with video equipment such as LED Screens, switchers, media servers and the such is preferred but we do undertake a small amount of Audio and lighting.

The role will involve making deliveries, so being able to drive is key, and additional categories such as B+E, C, C+E would be a benefit too for some of our upcoming developments. IPAF and Forklift competences would also be beneficial.

We offer a package which will include a competitive basic salary with overtime, 28 days holiday per year including Bank Holidays, generous company contributions to your pension, health insurance and a mobile phone allowance. There may also be occasion skirmishes in the warehouse with Nerf guns. This will be a full-time role with a permanent contract.

Warehouse and Hire Manager

Another key role,  based in the warehouse, ensuring that our equipment is managed and maintained correctly, as well as helping clients with their bookings. You will be a key part of the team and expected to know the equipment inside out from a warehouse perspective.

You need to have a keen eye for detail – we take preparation of the equipment as a key part of what we do. If it’s not all there, or not properly prepared then this will lead to time lost on site. We’d also look for someone who can see a clear plan when the logistics get complex, can keep their cool when the unexpected happens, and then work efficiently to make things happen.

You will be responsible for:

  • The operation and management of the warehouse, equipment and resources.
  • Creating quotes for clients as required
  • Liaising with Project Managers to manage equipment shortfalls, and arrange appropriate sub-hires.
  • The servicing, testing and management of our inventory through our chosen rental management software, Protonic Easyjob.
  • Managing Deliveries and collections to/from our clients and suppliers.
  • Managing our vehicles and transport requirements.

We would look for you to have the following:

  • Experience working in Live events.
  • Preferably with events warehouse experience.
  • Experience with audio and visual lighting equipment preparation, operation and maintenance.
  • Computer literacy – ideally both Windows and OSX experience.
  • A full driving licence. Category B essential, B+E, C, C+E desirable.
  • An ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written forms.
  • The right attitude, a good organisational skill and a sense of humour.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual work required of the post.
  • Ability to fire a Nerf gun when required
  • Ability to lead a team and work as part of a team.
  • Forklift Truck Competence

Previous experience within the live events industry is essential and working in a live events warehouse is desirable. A flexible approach, and the ability to work unsociable hours when required are necessary. In return, we are prepared to invest in you and help you develop your skills and passion for the audio visual industry.

This role would suit an experienced event technician looking to move towards a more regular full time job, or an experienced warehouse technician looking to progress to a management role.
